1st if you want unlock:
step by step to unlock KP500

1- instal lg drivers, i think that this one is enough:

then connect mob with usb cable without battery,sim or any memory(mmc) it will find new hardware, let it install drivers auto

after install drivers remove phone from usb port

2- donwload this:

extract and put the file "KP500.flb" in c:\

3- open the software KP500-Utils-EN.exe

Press O ( Backup STATIC_EEP...)

then ENTER

then write: \\.\USB1 and press ENTER

then write: C:\KP500.flb and press ENTER

then write static_eep and press ENTER

then connect phone to usb and wait, it should create 2 files in Lg-utils folder, one with name STATIC_EEP with 80kb and other STATIC_EEP.big

delete the STATIC_EEP.big file

and copy STATIC_EEP file to c:\

4- then open again KP500-Utils-EN.exe software if you close it

write P (Unlock) then ENTER

then write c:\STATIC_EEP and ENTER

unlock code will appear

now turn on the phone, type 2945#*71001#

enter in UNLOCK SIM then NETWORK LOCK then it will ask you for code, type the code you got then phone unlocked


(to create KPXXX.flb files you should read this thread till step 3)
(after step 3 you dont need to read more, you have one or two .flb files then all you need to do is pick the bigger .flb file and copy to c:\ and

rename it to KPxxx.flb then unlock the same way as KP500 instructions

your iphone as recovery mode.
now hold shift button and select firmware (iPhone1,1_3.0_7A341_Restore) where you saved

This guide will teach you how to jailbreak AND unlock your iPhone 2G running 3.0 firmware using RedSn0w on Windows.

I strongly recommend you backup and restore your iPhone 2G to 3.0 firmware via iTunes BEFORE you begin this guide. By strongly recommend I mean restore to 3.0 firmware.

You will need RedSn0w 0.7.2 which you can download here along with the iPhone 2G 3.0 firmware file available for download here. You also need the 3.9 and 4.6 bootloader files. Download 3.9 here and 4.6 here.

Once you have downloaded everything, extract redsn0w-win_0.7.2.zip to a location on your computer. You should see redsn0w.exe. Run it.

Click Browse.

Find your iPhone 2G 3.0 firmware file you downloaded earlier. Select it and click Open.

RedSn0w tells you that the ISPW is successfully identified. Click Next.

There will be a quick pop up.

Select your options to Install Cydia and Unlock. If you don't need to unlock your iPhone 2G you can de-secelct Unlock

If you are unlocking you need to located the 3.9 and 4.6 bootloader .bin files you downloaded earlier.

Now that you have told RedSn0w where the bootloader files are click Next.

At this point you should make sure your iPhone 2G is plugged into your computer AND turned off. Click Next.

RedSn0w gives you instructions. We are entering DFU mode now. First hold the power button for 3 seconds.

Keep holding the power button and start holding the home button for 10 seconds.

Release the power button but continue holding the home button for 30 seconds.

RedSn0w does its thing. Let it.

Finally RedSn0w has finished loading everything onto your phone. You will see a pretty screen on your phone as it is being Jailbroken and Unlcoked. Don't mess with your phone while all this is going on. After your phone restarts you are done!

Step One
Press to launch Cydia Installer from your SpringBoard.

Step Two
Press to select the Manage tab at the bottom of the screen

Step Three
Press to select the large Sources button

Step Four
Press the Edit button at the top right of the screen

Step Five
Press the Add button at the top left of the screen.

Step Six
Enter http://apt.geohot.com/ as the source url and press the Add Source button

Step Seven
Once the source has been added press the large Return to Cydia button

Step Eight
Press the Done button at the top right of the screen

Step Nine
Press to select apt.geohot.com from the list of user entered sources.

Step Ten
Press to select com.geohot.purplesn0w from the list of packages

Step Eleven
Press the Install button at the top right of the screen.

Step Twelve
Press the Confirm button at the top right of the screen

Step Thirteen
After installation completes successfully press the large Return to Cydia button.

Step Fourteen
Now press the Home button then power off and power on the iPhone. You do this by holding down the power button for 3 seconds then moving the power slider that appears to the right. Press the power button again to turn on the phone.
